Stillwater Outlaw Cabin on Green River
The Outlaw Cabin is located on Point Bottom at approximately mile 49 of the canoe trip down the Green River through Canyonlands National Park.
The year that I painted this scene I was paddling solo this 52 mile stretch of the river called Stillwater. The desert flowers were in full bloom and the colors magnificent.
The mountain behind this cabin has an old Indian ruin on top, which was used to signal other towers along the tops of the buttes.
