Emerging Fingers of North Routt
Autumn in North Routt County is one of my favorite seasons because it is full of bright and vibrant colors and rustling aspen leaves. This painting is from a curve in the road as it begins its climb up the hill towards Columbine. The mountains that are beginning to appear on the left side are what is often referred to as “The Fingers”, which many local skiers ski in the mid winter months, thus I named this painting “Emerging Fingers”. The colors are brilliant here each autumn, so it was fun to try and capture this moment.
This painting is beautifully framed in a light wood frame and has collage rice paper added to it corresponding to the colors in the painting.
